How do I calculate KDP spine width?

Multiply the page count by the paper thickness: 0.002252" per page for white paper, 0.0025" for cream paper and 0.002347" for premium color.

What is the full cover size for a 6x9 book?

Cover width = 0.125" + 6" + spine + 6" + 0.125", and height = 9.25". For 200 pages on white paper the spine is 0.45", so the cover is 12.7 × 9.25".

Can I put text on the spine?

KDP only prints spine text on books with enough pages (79 or more). Keep it at least 0.0625" away from the spine edges.
